Club Directors

Adam Timmins

Adam is currently the Cedar Falls High School Assistant Volleyball Coach working with sophomore, JV and Varsity teams.  Prior to this position, he was head sophomore coach at CF (2012), head varsity coach at NU High (2010 & 2011) and assistant coach at Wartburg College (2003-2007).  Along with those fall coaching duties, Adam has coached club volleyball in the area for the past 20 years.  His club coaching experience ranges from ages 10 to 18 and skill level ranges from school AAU club teams to tryout-formed select teams.  In 2010, his Six Pack 14U team won a USAV American Division-National Championship in Reno, NV.  Adam also coached Club Iowa Juniors top 18's team for two seasons, which included two USAV National Championship appearances and an Iowa Region Championship.

Adam has his bachelor's degree from UNI in Leisure, Youth and Human Services and stays active playing year round in both sand and indoor leagues/ tournaments around the Midwest.

Matt Johnson

Graduated from UNI in 2000. Coached middle school volleyball, JV volleyball, middle school girls basketball and boys track in Nevada for 3 years before moving to Charles City.

Varsity volleyball coach for 10 years at Charles City, as well as middle school boys track coach for 3 years and middle school activities director for 5 years. 

During his 10 years of coaching volleyball at Charles City won 300+ matches, 4 NEIC championships, and made 4 trips to the state tournament, winning a state championship in 2012 and losing in the state semifinals in 2013.

District Coach of the Year twice and 4A State Coach of the Year in 2012.

This is his 10th season as Cedar Falls high school volleyball coach. 

Matt lives in CF with his wife and three daughters.
